WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO COLLABORATE WITH ALTINORDU
FC Zenit Head Scout Konstantin Shipulin expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration between the clubs, noting that Altınordu excels at developing young players and preparing them to compete in professional leagues.
Our collaboration with FC Zenit continues regarding the development of youth football and academy teams. Last season, a group of our coaches visited Russia for observations, while a group of Russian coaches visited our facilities. Additionally, our Altınordu U16 Team participated in a tournament hosted by FC Zenit at the end of last season.
Shipulin, who came to İzmir to examine our club, toured the facilities throughout the day, observing the investments made. Led by our Corporate Communications Director Can Erbesler, the day began at our Sait Altınordu Facilities, where YMFÖ Director Kural Altıntaş provided him with information. After seeing the fields and Technical Area 1, Shipulin toured the İnciraltı Çağlar and Cengiz Temel Football Training Facilities and received detailed briefings from Corporate Communications Director Can Erbesler and Youth Development Director Ozan Bilgir. He also met with our President Seyit Mehmet Özkan for a brief conversation.
After visiting İsmet Orhunbilge Facilities, where we hold tournaments, Shipulin arrived at the Torbalı Metin Oktay Campus, where Campus Facilities Director Semih Kurşunlu provided further information.
OBSERVED THE A TEAM TRAINING SESSION
During the visit to the Torbalı Metin Oktay Campus, Shipulin observed the training of our A Team, which will play against Fethiyespor this weekend, and spent some time talking with A Team Administrative Director Barış Ertosun and Technical Director Olcay Şahan. At the end of the visit, Corporate Communications Director Can Erbesler gave Shipulin a detailed presentation.
"HAPPY WITH OUR COLLABORATION WITH ALTINORDU"
Expressing his satisfaction with seeing the investments made by the club, Shipulin stated: “First, I’d like to thank the president of Altınordu Football Club and everyone working here for their hospitality, taking the time to show me everything. I’m genuinely impressed. Not only the facilities, but the fact that a structure like this can be organized by people with such a big heart, professionalism, and commitment to what they’re doing in this club is truly impressive. So, I’m positively surprised and pleased. We initiated a collaboration between Zenit and Altınordu a few seasons ago, and we’re very happy about it.”
Shipulin highlighted the close attention given to our young players in both the First Team and Academy, saying, “Since the beginning of our collaboration, we have been following young players closely, especially those who play significant roles in the main squad and in U19 and U21 national teams. However, during the presentation, you showed me the numbers of players who have represented different national teams over the last two to three seasons, and this is truly impressive. Compared to much larger clubs with bigger budgets like Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş, you are doing an excellent job in terms of player development, bringing players to a level where they can compete in the Süper Lig and abroad.”
Regarding FC Zenit’s goals in the Russian League, Shipulin said, “As in the previous six seasons, we won the championship six times in a row, along with the Cup and Super Cup last season. This season is particularly important as it marks the club’s 100th year. The primary goal is always to win the league, along with the Cup and Super Cup. There is so much to be done, including scouting players, collaborating with partner clubs, training with clubs in Brazil and Argentina, organizing tournaments, and observing many players.”
At the İnciraltı Çağlar and Cengiz Temel Football Training Facilities, Shipulin delivered a presentation to our Academy teams’ technical staff about his work and exchanged ideas.
Konstantin Shipulin will watch our First Team’s match against Fethiyespor on Saturday before returning to his country.
